Inner Lakes Regatta

8 boats gathered for the inner lakes regatta. Sam Hatfield and helpers organised an enjoyable and different weekends sailing highlighting the under use of the inner lakes as a sailing location over the last few years. Racing began at noon from the club with a passage race to Coosan Point, the wind proving too much for the 138 which went swimming. After some sandwiches and beverages in Coosan point 2 races where held in front of Quigleys with the second race being a passage race into Ballykeeran Lake. A 4th race was held back to Coosan Point at which point it was decided to tow back to the club as the wind was increasing. There the Shannons joined the returned cruiser sailors for a BYO BBQ. Day 2 was blown out so  an early prize giving was held to the approval of those with a journey home. Congratulations to David Dickson in the 73 and Many Thanks to Sam & crew for what is hopefully the first of many Inner Lakes regatta
