Entries for the 2024 Junior Sailing course have not yet opened. The course will take place between the 1st and 19th of July

Welcome to the LRYC Junior Sailing Course 2023.

We are delighted to announce we will be running a full course again this year for all levels. There has been increased interest in the sailing course over the past few years. To match site, rescue and hire boat capacity, along with available instructors and ISA teaching ratios, the number of sailors within each level will be necessarily capped.

Applications will be opened first to members, on Wednesday April 26th, applications from non-members will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, from Monday May 8th.

We ask you to kindly NOTE that a completed application form does not guarantee a place on the course. This will come into effect when the ratios of instructors to participants is finalised.

Specific H&S information and conditions relating to our Junior Sailing Course will be available closer to commencement.

We expect to run a large course this year and although we expect and hope Covid restrictions will not be required, some of the measures we have had in place over the last two years have assisted us in running a well organised course. We expect to maintain some of these practices this year;

  • Dedicated pods / instructors / rescue boat arrangements
  • Strict drop off and collection regimes
  • Arrive dressed for sailing
These measures will be confirmed and explained in detail closer to the course commencement in July.

NOTE - completed application form does not guarantee a place on the course. This will come into effect when the ratios of instructors to participants is finalised.
